Katrina Gaither is a lifelong educator, motivator, and advocate for learning and well-being. With nearly 30 years of experience in public education, Katrina serves as the Vision and Literacy Director for 1st Veterans Kids Care, where she leads efforts to inspire, equip, and uplift learners through literacy-focused programming and joyful engagement.
My Story
Katrina also currently serves as a Human Resources Partner for the School District of Palm Beach County, where she supports secondary schools across the Central and South Regions, focusing on recruitment, retention, and talent development.
Career in Education & Leadership
Katrina began her career in a large urban Florida school district as a middle school social studies teacher, a position she held for over 15 years. Her commitment to instructional excellence and mentorship led to her role as a school-based instructional coach, where she supported more than 100 teachers annually across multiple subject areas.
As a district-level “Marzano” Coach, Katrina provided support to schools during the day and taught alternative certification classes at night—bridging theory and practice with skill and passion. Katrina's professional path continued as she joined Palm Beach County Schools over five years ago as a Specialist in the Department of Professional Development, where she:
