My Story

Educational Background

Leo is a graduate of Roosevelt University in Chicago, where he earned his degree in business, laying a strong foundation for his diverse and accomplished career.

Professional Experience

Leo’s professional journey spans several industries and leadership roles:

  • Banking: Seventeen years of banking experience in both Chicago and Orlando, where he developed expertise in financial management, operations, and client services.

  • Technology: Six years as a computer project manager for a group of companies in the Caribbean, implementing complex systems to streamline business operations.

  • Healthcare: Over twenty-five years in the healthcare industry, including founding Nirvana Health Services in 1994, a Medicare-certified home care company providing specialty nursing and therapy services across seven Florida counties. Under his leadership as Chairman, the company realized consistent growth and positive community impact.

  • Audit & Education: Taught business courses and was contracted by two Orlando CPA firms to assist with audits for Orange County, the City of Orlando, small neighborhood banks, and other Florida businesses.

  • Real Estate: In 2018, Leo founded AALMA, LLC, transitioning into real estate investment with a focus on strategic property development.

 

Leadership & Community Involvement

Leo has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including:

  • Past President of the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce of Florida

  • Chairman (2005–2015) of the Orange County Research and Development Authority

  • Board Member of Neal & Massy (Trinidad) Credit Union

  • Former Rotarian, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to service

He is also Grand Councilor Emeritus of the Rosicrucian Order, where he held leadership responsibilities for the Southeast and Florida Region and multiple positions within the Orlando Chapter.

Philanthropy & Impact

In 2012, Leo established the Pipiol Angels Foundation to facilitate charitable activities in Florida and across the Caribbean, coordinating the shipment of dozens of hospital beds, medical supplies, and 37 sewing machines to underserved Caribbean communities. In 2014, he launched Nirvana Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Services to provide outpatient therapy, ensuring continuity of care for discharged home health patients.

Personal Interests

A dedicated health and wellness enthusiast, Leo enjoys:

🧘‍♂️ Participating in yoga, tai chi, and physical training classes

He is passionate about mentoring youth and remains an active supporter of healthcare and development projects that improve the lives of underserved families in Florida and the Caribbean.
